Refund policy

General:

Hirestreet is a fashion rental service. When you place an order with us you are entering into a rental agreement. You must return all rented items to us, unless you have opted to purchase them during your rental period. If you do not return items to us, we reserve the right to charge you Late Fees (capped at the RRP value of the non-returned garments).

We do not offer refunds, unless we have failed to deliver on the rental service agreement we have made with you when you placed your order. Failure to deliver on this agreement would mean that items have not arrived in a wearable state, or they have not arrived on or before your rental start date.

On Demand Rentals:

On Demand Rentals are non-Subscription orders. When you place an On Demand rental order you will receive a confirmation email which states your rental period. You must return your rental items on or before the last day of your rental period. To return your items, generate a returns label via your account and drop at the nominated courier drop-off counter: Evri

We do not offer Refunds on unworn rental items however you can request an exchange on one rental item per order for a £10 fee off the cost of the rental.

Subscription Rentals: 

Subscribers pay a monthly fee for 5 items. To place a Subscription order, you first purchase your Subscription plan. You can manage your Subscription in your account, add items for £10 extra each, pause and skip payments or cancel your Subscription at any time.

When you have an active Subscription, you will have a series of rental slots in your account that you can fill with outfits. You return your items whenever you wish i.e. you may keep the same items for 2 months or you can swap them after 30 days. 

Your next rental slots will not unlock until you have returned all rented items (that you have not opted to purchase) using the generated digital returns label and after the billing date is passed again OR if you choose to unlock early, pay the renewal fee sooner and amend your monthly billing date moving forward.

We do not offer refunds or rental credit on Subscription items returned unworn. As a Subscriber, you are already paying less than £15 an item, to be able to offer this level of affordability unfortunately we cannot offer rental credit.

Items Purchased In Your Rental:

You may purchase items you have rented in your account section during your rental period. These items are available to buy at significant discounts on RRP. If you have purchased one of your rentals, you simply keep it and do not need to return it on your stated return date. You must return all other non-purchased items on or before this date.

These items are treated as Final Sale - they cannot be returned for a Refund because you have already tried them on before you have purchased them.

On Site Sale Purchases:

All items sold through our Legacy Sale online store are heavily discounted clearance stock. Because of this, we accept returns only but not exchanges for unwanted items or change of mind and you must pay for the return postage.

Please note: this does not affect your statutory rights. You’re still entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described. If you believe your item is defective, please notify us by contacting support@hirestreetuk.com within 14 days of receiving your order and we’ll make it right.
