I wore it for a wedding. I am somewhere between a size 12 and 14, and got a size 12. It was a bit snug, so I think runs true to size. It is tight fitting around your lower stomach up to your chest so if you are body conscious of any of those bits, it might be tricky for you. Or if you're eating a big meal! The poofy skirt was stunning, and fun to dance in.
